A Brief History of the Fast Forward Band...

The Fast Forward Band started back in the early 80's. The original members were Jim Rook, Dave Stautberg, Tom Stautberg, and Tony Sinclair. Jim and Dave were the "backbone" of the band playing drums and bass. Larry Van Druten joined back in 1990 as guitarist/vocalist. Larry had played previously with the group, "St. Valentine". In 1992, Jeff Butler joined up as sound/light engineer. Like Larry, Jeff was also previously with St. Valentine. Several years later, Tom Wagner came onboard as "Keyboardist Extraordinare".

On June 24th 2006, Jim Rook and his wife Margie were killed by a drunk driver while on their way to vacation in Florida. This was totally devastating to all of us.  Not only did we lose our drummer, we all lost our best friend. Music and its ability to bring all of our friends together was too big a part of our lives to just give it up. So we all decided to continue on. Jimmy would have wanted it that way.

The Fast Forward Band has evolved over the years and now includes: Joe Schomaker, Todd Chumbley, Dave Stautberg, Tom Wagner, Larry VanDruten and Jeff Butler.

The Fast Forward Band can be seen in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, playing at various night clubs and events. During the summer months, you can catch us at J.B. Fins on the riverfront twice a month.
